Chivas are aiming to re-establish themselves as the premier symbol of luxury whisky with their latest hand-crafted blend called Chivas Regal The Icon.
“As the pinnacle of the brand, this exceptional blend represents a new expression in luxury whisky which will continue to impress whisky connoisseurs.”
The beautifully crafted Scotch drink is a concoction involving 20 of the rarest and oldest whiskies from distilleries which no longer exist. Destined for the cabinets of the world’s most discerning whisky connoisseurs, Chivas Regal The Icon features a balance of old and new influences with each distillery lending its own unique characteristic to the name.
The rarest malt comes from Strathisla, the spiritual home of Chivas Regal, and also the oldest continuously operating distillery in the Scottish Highlands. This is further refined with hand-selected single malts from Longmorn and Glen Keith. This ensures an exceptional character with a luscious finish, tinged with rich notes of honey, vanilla and dark chocolate balanced against hazelnut accents from the cask.
Keen on getting your hands on one? It’s best you know that every year the Master Blender will only be creating a limited number of these bottles. And in order to celebrate this exclusivity, Chivas Regal The Icon will only be offered in a hand-blown crystal decanter created by the craftsmen at Dartington Crystal.
This means the glass is delicately etched and finished with precision crafted metalwork and presented in sublime green glassware, a homage to the original green Chivas Regal bottle that forged the Chivas name in 1909. This will assure that the prized bottle remains a masterpiece both in body and taste well into the future.
Bottled in 700ml batches, the legendary whisky will retail for $4,699.
